 KIM SCHMIDT, piano, has appeared on concert stages across America as recitalist, concertos soloist, accompanist and chamber musician.  Recitals in Chicago’s Orchestra Hall, New York’s Carnegie Recital Hall, and London’s Wigmore Hall launched a career that is unusually varied.  His repertoire includes concerti of Brahms, Schumann, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, Tchaikowsky, Greig, Berg and Stravinsky.  Much sought after as accompanist and chamber musician, he has performed with such artists as Lucia Popp, Olaf Baer and Donald Peck.  He has recorded with Bonita Boyd and Susanne Mentzer and toured with the renowned Verdehr Trio.
